In the recent months in speaking with buyers there is a concept I want to address. “I want to wait until next year to purchase so I can get a home for less. The homes are just too expensive now”. You may hear this mythunderstanding bantered about or even hear it on the Evening News. But I believe it lacks merit for these different reasons. Read this and consider:
1. Homes are consistently going up in value each year mainly due to the historic low inventory that has produceed a major ‘Seller’s Market’ here in Denver and in many other cities accross the nation. In many ways it is a ‘supply and demand’ situation that is hard to deny. Although there are some adjustments occuring now, that is not likely to change much in the next year.
2. The home interest rates have again come close to historically low levels in recent weeks and it is not likely that this will continue much longer. These rates in the mid to High 3% range allow you to purchase more home with lower payments.
3. There are other factors in play that could likely cause a home buyer to lose a considerable amount of money in the next year that will be very hard to recover. Read the report again in paragraph one above and let’s chat.
